After 8 years of being in our main hub in Tunstall, on 23rd November 2022, we signed the dotted line to purchase our hub and home, The Walk Centre.
It is at The Walk Centre that our offices are based, we hold groups and training sessions, we gather together for Bible Studies, and the kettle is always on for a brew and a catch up.
The journey to today began nine years ago, with a prayer at the front of the YMCA, that God would provide Walk with a building that would be fit for purpose as a main hub. Seven weeks later a building in Tunstall became available and was given to the YMCA.
In the beginning, we leased the building from the YMCA for £1 a year, bills included. It is this act of generosity from Danny Flynn and the YMCA that allowed us to grow as a charity in the early years with less financial burden.
Fast forward to 2022, we have now purchased The Walk Centre and made improvements to the kitchen, the bathrooms, the gym, the offices and the training room.
We can’t wait for this next stage of more building work, more opportunity, and welcoming more men through our door.
