We run intensive programmes to help men realise their full potential. We give them homes, jobs and skills for living while teaching them about life and faith in a family environment.
As an organisation, we will consider any individual who we think we can help. However, our residential and rehabilitation facilities are designed as single-sex houses for safety and security reasons.
For any women, families or young adults we suggest you contact us, we can refer you to other charities and organisations who we think can serve you better.
No, we work with partner organisations to manage detoxes. However, you can’t be on more than 40ml of Methadone or 8mg of Subutex. We provide a daily program of activities and 24/7 support in a safe closed environment, to support residents during the detox.
No, you do not have to be a Christian to join Walk. We are however an organisation with a Christian ethos. Entering Walk is voluntary. However, as part of Walk, you will be required to join in with faith-based group discussions and meetings.

No, you do not need your own funds to join us.
Initially, a person at Walk will be on benefits to help with basic costs. With everyone at Walk, we aim to progress their standard of living with training that enables future employment opportunities and the beginnings of a new life in the community.
Everyone we work with is housed in one of our properties and will not be able to keep their current housing options. Unfortunately, we cannot accept pets into any of our houses at this time.
We generally accept men between 25 and 55 years old. However, applications are assessed based on their individual circumstances. We work with adults only but age alone will not determine whether an applicant is accepted.
Our program is approximately 2 years but we believe that each individual has their own journey to walk. Therefore, we don’t have any fixed time frame for our rehabilitation program.

Yes, you can. Although it would be healthier for you if you try and quit smoking. But one step at a time.
No, we are not a medical facility. On arrival, our residents will register with a local GP practice. In case of a healthcare emergency, our staff are trained to arrange immediate medical attention when needed.
We are funded by generous donations and some of the cost of your stay is covered by a variety of different sources. Applications are made on your behalf for government support upon entry.
At Walk, we have built strong relationships with partner churches that provide community and safety for the men on our programs. Those coming to Walk join a partner church for the duration of their time with us.
At Walk, we assess referrals on an individual basis and each application is evaluated to see if we can support the needs of the person applying. If we can, we accept. If we cannot, we attempt to signpost to other agencies, charities or services best equipped to help.

Unfortunately, due to our accommodation limitations, we cannot accept children at Walk.
We are based in Tunstall, Stoke-On-Trent and our courses run for approximately two years.
